On 14 June 2025, one of Austria's largest construction sites in Kühtai opened its doors to the public.
The open construction site day gave visitors an exclusive insight into the day-to-day work of hundreds of construction workers.
Around 7,000 guests took the opportunity to explore the large construction site.

September 2026 öffnet eine der größten Baustellen Österreichs im Kühtai wieder ihre Tore für die Öffentlichkeit. Beim Tag der offenen Baustelle erhalten Besucher einen exklusiven Einblick in den Arbeitsalltag von hunderten Bauarbeiterinnen und Bauarbeitern. Experience how the energy transition can succeed, identify technical connections through interactive, playful discussion, understand hydropower and its role in the regional and global context – all this is possible at the TIWAG Visitor Centre Silz.
The environment, climate, energy, the expansion of hydropower and the efficient use of energy can be experienced interactively at this venue. Our visitors are invited to gain a clear overview of energy security and power generation, not only from the perspective of TIWAG, but also in an Austrian and pan-European context. Hands-on exhibits involve the visitor in a playful and interactive way, so technical function and connections can be touched and understood.
